When you buy or sell a home, there may already be a Ring Video Doorbell installed on the front door of the home.

In order to transfer the Ring Video Doorbell device from Seller to the Buyer, certain steps need to take place.

After closing, the Seller will remove the Ring Video Doorbelldevice from their account. They can do this either online or by calling Ring at 1-800-656-1918 .

If the Seller does not have the pin number for the Ring account (for instance in an estate sale or inherited property), then they must call Ring and request that the Ring Video Doorbell be removed from the account. It will take up to 15 days for the device to be removed from the account.

Once the device is removed from the Previous Owner’s account, the new Buyer will set up an account with Ring. They can scan the QR Code on the back of the Ring device or call Ring at 1-800-656-1918 to set up the account.

If you do not have a Ring Video Doorbell or would like to purchase additional Ring Video Doorbells for your home (some people also have the devices on other doors in the home, including side doors, back doors, etc) and would like one, you can purchase one on Amazon for next day delivery!

If you have any questions or need additional information about transferring a Ring Video Doorbell, please feel free to contact your favorite REALTOR, Niecie Draper.
